The Broadmoor

The Broadmoor is a renowned hotel, and as their website states it "has remained one of the most recognizable and celebrated hotels in the world". It opened in 1918, and has become a member of Historic Hotels of America of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

The hotel is reputedly haunted by the lingering spirit of its original owner, Spencer Penrose. Phenomena that have been attributed to him include the smells of his cigar smoke and brandy.

The apparition of a woman wearing 1920's era clothing has been reported walking around the main building at night.

Penrose-St Francis Health Services Center

The Penrose Hospital at the Penrose-St Francis Health Services Center, was was founded as Glockner Tuberculosis Sanatorium in 1890. The Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati, Ohio assumed ownership of the hospital in 1893.

According to Cindy Brick, the hospital is haunted by the apparition of a nun. The apparition has been sighted walking down the corridors and through walls. However, he habit has bloodstains on it.
